BATON ROUGE, LA – Longtime retail giant Toys R Us recently announced
that it is closing or selling all of its stores across the country, including
the six in Louisiana. And Attorney General Jeff Landry is alerting our State’s
consumers to use their Toys R Us or Babies R Us gift cards and store credits
before April 15, 2018.
“According to the restructuring plans of Toys R Us –
consumers have until April 15th to use their gifts cards, Rewards Dollars,
Endless Earnings, and store credits,” explained General Landry. “Since the
stores likely will not restock inventory – it is probably a good idea to use
these as soon as possible, whether in-store or online.”
General Landry is also reminding consumers that most
purchases from a company going out of business are usually final sales.
“Choose products wisely as they likely are not eligible
for return or refund,” added General Landry. “And please ask about return and
refund policies before making any future purchases from Toys R Us.
