Attorney General Jeff Landry Makes Three Child Pornography Arrests

BATON ROUGE, LA – Today, Attorney General Jeff Landry announced the arrests of three men on charges of child pornography.

“Those who exploit our children will be brought to justice,” said Attorney General Jeff Landry. “My office will continue to pursue and arrest child predators.”

Evan Melancon, 30 of Lafayette, was arrested on 30 counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles. Melancon was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail as a result of a joint investigation by Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Lafayette Police Department.

David Hall, 67 of Shreveport, was arrested on two counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles and one count of Pornography Involving Juveniles. Hall was arrested and booked into the Caddo Parish Jail as a result of a joint investigation by Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Bossier Parish Marshal’s Office, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Shreveport Police Department, Air Force Office of Special Investigations, and the Louisiana State Police.

Timothy Hanks, 36 of Crowley, was arrested on one count of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles. Hanks was arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail as a result of a joint investigation by Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit and Homeland Security Investigations.
