Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Office Recognized for Best Consumer Outreach

AG Landry's KnowMoreLouisiana.com Wins National Award

BATON ROUGE, LA – Attorney General Jeff Landry’s office has been selected to receive the Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) “WAGGY Award” for Best Consumer Outreach.

“This award is a true honor and a testament to the service our office’s outreach program provides for all of our State’s people,” said General Landry. “Our team is constantly looking for new ways to help educate and protect Louisiana’s residents and businesses.”

In recognizing Louisiana’s prowess, the WAGGY committee – comprised of IT/web staff from CWAG’s 32 State and Territory Attorneys General Offices – described General Landry’s KnowMoreLouisiana.com as “unique, not only in its focus on teens, but also in the depth of content made possible by such focus.”

KnowMoreLouisiana.com is a website and series of educational resources aimed at giving teens a guide to successfully navigate the many social pressures that exist as a young adult. The program was created to educate teens on issues such as bullying, gangs, drugs, sexual assault, and peer pressure and to help teens understand and apply the law to these difficult situations.

“Our KnowMore program has helped empower thousands of Louisiana teens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions on the complex path to adulthood,” added General Landry, who has made constituent services a major focus of his office.

“Our outreach representatives will continue their tremendous efforts to help protect our State’s consumers, elderly, and most vulnerable,” concluded General Landry.
