Five Arrested by Attorney General Jeff Landry’s Cyber Crime Unit

BATON ROUGE, LA – Attorney General Jeff Landry today announced the arrests of five Louisiana men on multiple charges including distribution and possession of child pornography, indecent behavior with juveniles, and computer aided solicitation of a minor. 

“The Internet holds tremendous potential for Louisiana’s youth; however, the misuse of the Internet to prey on them remains a serious problem in our State,” said General Landry. “So my office and I will continue to do all that we legally can to apprehend predators committing Internet crimes against children.”

Alton Lowe, 30 of Eunice, was arrested on 40 counts of Possession of Sexual Abuse Images/Videos of Children (under the age of 13). He was arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail following a joint investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) Cyber Crimes Unit (CCU), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Fabian Joseph, 68 of New Iberia, was arrested on one count of Distribution of Sexual Abuse Images/Videos of Children (under the age of 13) and one count of Possession of Sexual Abuse Images/Videos of Children (under the age of 13).

Javonte Etienne, 23 of New Iberia, was arrested on one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and one count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor.

Joseph and Etienne were both booked into the Iberia Parish Correction Facility following a joint investigation by the LBI CCU, HSI, and the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

David Dunn, 35 of New Orleans, was arrested on 20 counts of Possession of Sexual Abuse Images/Videos of Children (under the age of 13).

Nathanial Jarve, 33 of New Orleans, was arrested on 75 counts of Possession of Sexual Abuse Images/Videos of Children (under the age of 13) and one count of Distribution of Sexual Abuse Images/Videos of Children (under the age of 13).

Dunn and Jarve were both booked into the Orleans Parish Prison following a joint investigation by the LBI CCU, the LBI Violent Crimes Unit, HSI, and the New Orleans Police Department.
