Attorney General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit arrests Baskin man for Possession of Child Porn
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit arrested a man from Franklin Parish on Wednesday, October 30.
54-year-old David A Punchard, of Highway 857 in Baskin, was charged with:
- LA R.S. 14:81.1 - Possession of Child Pornography Under the Age of 13 (20 Counts)
Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with Attorney General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit, the Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Punchard was booked at the Franklin Parish Detention Center without incident on the above listed charges.
His bond has reportedly been set at $200,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
