Attorney General Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrests Morgan City man for First Degree Rape and other charges
Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) arrested a man from Morgan City on November 6, 2024.
49-year-old Carrol Ray Clark, of 138 Jamie Court in Morgan City, was arrested for violating:
- 21 Counts - LA RS 14:81.1 E(5)(a) Pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (Felony.)
- 1 Count - LA R.S 14:42- First Degree Rape
- 2 Counts - LA R.S 14:81- Indecent Behavior with Juveniles
- 3 Counts - LA R.S 14:81.1E(4)(a)- Production of Pornography Involving Juveniles
This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Carrol Ray Clark was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
On November 7, Clark was re-booked for 10 violations of LA LA RS 14:81.1 E(5)(a) Pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (Felony).
And on November 18, Clark was re-booked for 1 violation of LA R.S 14:42-First Degree Rape, 2 violations of LA R.S 14:8- Indecent Behavior with Juveniles, and 3 violations of LA R.S 14:81.1E(4)(a)- Production of Pornography Involving Juveniles.
“As a mom, every one of these stories is both heartbreaking and infuriating. Thanks to my LBI agents and all our law enforcement partners, this monster is off the streets and behind bars,” said Attorney General Murrill.
The investigation is ongoing.
