Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a man from Church Point on January 8, 2025.

37-year-old Jacoby Jamal Recard, of Cobblestone Road in Church Point was arrested for violating:           

• 6 Counts – LA RS 14:81.1E(5)(a) Pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (Felony)

Agents got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with General Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, Union Pacific Police Department, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Recard was ultimately booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail.

His bond information is unknown at this time.
