AG Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents arrest West Monroe man for Misrepresentation Concerning Benefit Payments
Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau
of Investigation arrested a man from West Monroe on January 8, 2025.
61-year-old Peter Casico, of Del Ray Drive in West Monroe, was arrested for violating:
- LA RS 23:108;
Misrepresentation concerning benefit payments (Felony)
An investigation by the LBI – Baton Rouge Office into the
conduct of Casico following a judgment by the Louisiana Worker’s
Compensation Court ruled Casico provided misinformation to obtain benefit
payments from January 2021 to May of 2023, which totaled $109,060 in income
benefits and $80,511 in medical costs.
Casico is a former Toyota of Bastrop employee who defrauded
the program of over $189,000.
His bond has reportedly been set at $7,500.
The investigation is ongoing.
