Attorney General Jeff Landry Arrests Three for Fraud

BATON ROUGE, LA – Attorney General Jeff Landry announced today the arrests of Jason Lipscomb, Brian Furber, and Wanda Sue Lade each on Bank Fraud and Theft in the amount of $200,000.

“My office is dedicated to investigating, arresting, and prosecuting those who commit fraud,” said General Landry. “While recent cuts to our budget may negatively impact our office’s efforts – we stay committed to eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse in Louisiana."

Lipscomb of Ponchatoula, Louisiana was arrested on one count of Bank Fraud and Theft by Fraud in the amount of $200,000. He was booked into the East Parish Baton Rouge Jail.

Furber of Port Orange, Florida was arrested on two counts of Bank Fraud and two counts of Theft by Fraud in the amount of $200,000. Lade of Port Orange, Florida was arrested on one count of Bank Fraud and Theft by Fraud in the amount of $200,000. Both were booked into the Volusia County Jail and are expected to be in Louisiana by weeks end.

This investigation is ongoing and additional suspects may be arrested in relation to the complaint.
