20-year-old Daryl Scott Evans Jr, of Wall Boulevard in New Orleans, was arrested September 24, 2026, on the following charges:

• 7 counts La R.S. 14:81.1 E(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Material under the age of 13 years old

• 2 counts La R.S. 14:81.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Agents received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a Dropbox account containing child sexual abuse material and/or evidence of indecent behavior with juveniles.

 Agents identified Evans Jr. as the user of the account. An arrest warrant was issued for Evans Jr. out of Orleans Parish for violating 7 counts La R.S. 14:81.1 E(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Material under the age of 13 years old, and 2 counts La R.S. 14:81.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material.

 On September 24, 2026, Evans Jr. was located in Orleans Parish where was taken into custody and transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center and booked on the outstanding warrant. 

 Bond information is currently unknown.

 This arrest was the result of a joint investigation involving the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Louisiana State Police, Homeland Security Investigations, Orleans Metro ICAC Taskforce, New Orleans Police Department, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Kenner Police Department, and the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.  

 The investigation remains ongoing.
